Behind Another Door

Behind another door
Hidden from my gaze
Demons spin the threads
Of what may soon become my fate

Someone will save this soul
Or will they sully it?
What shards of hope remain?
I dare not speak of it.
For fear of releasing it.

The night mutates into a grotesque beast
Its weight on my back, its claws in my flesh
The wind licks the nape of my neck like death
The evening’s black hands caress the slope of my breast
Fate release me!

Behind another door
The hope of solace remains
This dream made mockery
By all your petty games

And if I choose this door
What weight the consequence?
I anticipate the sin
That yearning of the flesh

Someone please save this soul
Or at least comfort it
What right have I to grieve
I’m just like anybody.

The night mutates into a grotesque beast
Its weight on my back, its claws in my flesh
The wind licks the nape of my neck like death
The evening’s black hands caress the slope of my breast
Fate release me!

The moment mutates into a grotesque beast
Your weight on my chest, your claws in my back.
